Steal the candy

This is a great game for finding out how questions are made in English. You need to play this several times and they might need a bit of help in the beginning, but once they discover the logic, they can apply it to any tense.

The game itself requires critical thinking, communication and cooperation. If you want them to be creative as well, they can come up with their own sentences.

The simple idea of giving them something they can’t have yet and that the other team can steal, gives them a reason to participate and be focused.

Tip: Make them cooperate for the final question. You can add peer learning here by randomly picking 3 students who have to give you the right question. Now the stronger students have to make sure that the weaker students are also on board.
