For this game you need a bomb. I found mine in the google app store under ‘Random timer – tick tock bomb’. I also use this app for the review game ‘ Scattergories’, but here I use it to internalize difficult vocab and for pronunciation of difficult words.

To internalize vocab students need to say it many times. To pronounce correctly students need to watch your mouth, listen to you and focus. This game is only SMART if you are strict and don’t let them move on till they say it right.

At the end,  I threw in 2 words at the same time. which made it difficult to check their pronunciation, but made it more energetic and fun (a conscious decision).

Tip: check the correct pronunciation online if you are not 100% sure. I am actually mispronouncing the word ‘chandelier’. It is originally a French word and should be pronounced [shan duh leer].
