Shoot the Sheriff

This game is used to practice grammar forms and is enjoyed by all levels.

Students literally have to think on their feet, listen to each other and focus. They will start asking each other questions without any prompting from the teacher as they need the info to be able to win.

You can also decide to keep everyone in the game, but I usually see that the ones that are out early are more focused in the next round.

Smart game 2.0: I used to have one person in the middle for the entire round, but they all like being in the middle, so going to the middle after they ‘lose’ proved to be an improvement.

Higher levels: you can practice more advanced grammar forms like what have you done today? or What would you do if you were a …?
