Good for review and spelling practice. This is a game everybody knows, so you don’t need to explain it. Just add your own rules when they come up (e.g. students can’t point where they want the circle or cross, they have to tell you in English).
In this video, I immediately show how many letters it has, better is when I wait and they ask: ‘How many letters does it have?’. At the end of the video, you can see that not everything always goes according to plan, so then you need to first improvise.
Tip: you can also have them guess how many letter it has.
Higher levels: instead of vocabulary, they have to add articles to a sentence or find the mistake(s) in a sentence. Basically, any language challenge will work.
